About our CSA Host Program
Summer CSA Only
Hosting a CSA pickup site is one of the most impactful ways to support Titus Farms — especially during a year of major farm construction.
In exchange for hosting, you’ll receive a FREE Standard Veggie Share for the entire Summer CSA season, plus an invitation to a Spring CSA Host Gathering.
Farm staff will not be present at host sites. Hosts play a key role in making weekly pickups clear, organized, and successful.
What Is a CSA Host?
A CSA Host provides a weekly pickup location (home, workplace, or community space they manage) for Titus Farms CSA members.
What Hosting Involves
- Arranging your space as a weekly CSA pickup location from July to October
- Providing a shaded, protected space for shares
- Helping ensure members pick up the correct items each week
- Communicating missed pickups or issues to the farm
Where We Need Hosts
We’re especially looking for CSA Hosts in areas that help us expand pickup options without duplicating existing sites. Ideally, new host sites are at least ~10+ minutes from a current pickup location.
Priority areas include:
- West Lansing
- East Lansing/Bath
- Williamston
- Holt / South Lansing
- Jackson area (as capacity allows)
Not in one of these areas? Still reach out — we’re screening hosts based on location fit, accessibility, and reliability.
How Hosts Get Their Boxes
Because 2026 is a major construction year, delivery logistics are changing.
Pickup is the primary method. Hosts should expect to pick up their site’s CSA boxes on Wednesdays or Saturdays at the Meridian Township Farmers Market or Wednesdays at Allen Farmers Market (acceptance pending), or from the farm during designated pickup windows.
Limited delivery may be possible for select sites on Tuesday evenings, depending on staffing. Delivery is not guaranteed for all hosts or all weeks.
Typical pickup windows (tentative):
- Wednesday afternoons @ Meridian Township Farmers Market (or Allen Farmers Market, if accepted)
- Saturday mornings @ Meridian Township Farmers Market
- Tuesday evenings at the farm (or select deliveries based on employee schedules)
What Hosts Pick Up Each Week
- Only the CSA boxes assigned to their site.
- Any Add-On shares for those members (eggs, chicken, soap, microgreens, lettuce, etc.).
- A paper list of members and their shares (and any money owed), as members may change week to week.
- A weekly Host Notes & FAQ sheet (paper) — for hosts only — to help answer common questions.
Some Add-On items may be packed in CSA boxes, while others may be provided separately. This can vary week to week. Raw chicken will always be separate.
Weekly Responsibilities
- Pick up boxes (or receive limited delivery, if approved).
- Set shares out during the agreed pickup window.
- Keep shares protected from sun, rain, heat, and animals/pets.
- Use the weekly sign-in sheet.
- Notify the farm of issues or missed pickups ASAP.
Important: Missed pickups may be kept or donated by the host. The farm cannot retrieve or re-deliver unclaimed boxes.
This is a major change from previous policies.
Each site host may set their own late policy, but we encourage keeping a 15-minute window open after the official close time for late-comers.
CSA Payments
Hosts are not responsible for managing CSA accounts or large payments.
Some members may occasionally owe small weekly overages (for add-ons like extra eggs or other items). Hosts may choose how — or if — they are comfortable helping facilitate these payments.
Digital payment methods (Venmo or Farmigo) are preferred whenever possible. Hosts may accept cash only if they are comfortable doing so, but cash handling is not required and varies by site.
- One FREE Standard Veggie Share (Summer CSA)
- An invitation to a Spring CSA Host Gathering (food, a walk-around, and time to talk through the season)
- Direct communication with the farm
- A meaningful role during a big transition year — and our sincere gratitude
