These items are sourced from local farms and are delivered with your vegetables share. You must be a Veggie Share member in order to receive these shares. All forms and payment must be received by April 15, 2010.

Meat Chicken Shares

Chickens will weigh approximately 4 pounds and are distributed whole and fresh. Chickens are raised by the Miller Family of Miller’s Fowlerville Poultry. They are considered “All Natural” as they are not given any hormones or antibiotics. When they’re ready the chickens are given outside access and receive nothing but grass, grain, water and sunshine. We are limited to 50 shares.

Full Chicken Share - $195

-One chicken for 15 weeks (June 28-September 26)

Half Chicken Share - $104

-One chicken for 8 weeks, distributed every other week (June 20-September 26)

Tree Fruit Share

This includes many varieties of apples as well as peaches and possibly blueberries and cider all from the Country Mill in Charlotte. At distribution you may choose either Certified Organic or conventional apples, or some combination. All other fruit will be conventional. There are approximately 18 varieties of apples offered throughout the season.

Shares are distributed at CSA from the weeks of August 15 thru October 17, 2010.

Standard Fruit Share - $50

-8-10 pieces of fruit per week, distributed for 10 consecutive weeks

Egg Share

The eggs are raised on small-holder farms in Eaton County, part of the Grazing Fields Egg Co-op. Chickens are fed no antibiotics and are free to roam to express their natural behaviors and have access to fresh air and sunshine. All the eggs are brown and raised from Isa Brown chickens.  We are limited to 125 Shares.

Full Egg Share - $66.50

-One dozen eggs delivered every week for 19 weeks.

Half Egg Share - $35

-One dozen eggs delivered every-other-week, 10 weeks total.
